⚠️
Why This Power Matters
The Presente Simple is the most used tense in Spanish. It's your foundation for everyday communication, describing routines, expressing general truths, and talking about what's happening right now. Without mastering this tense, you cannot progress to more advanced Spanish magic!
⚡ CORE TRUTH: Spanish has 3 verb families (-AR, -ER, -IR) | Learn the patterns = Unlock hundreds of verbs!
Spanish verbs are divided into three families (las tres conjugaciones) based on their infinitive (verb's base form) endings: -AR, -ER, and -IR. Each family follows its own conjugation pattern. Master these three patterns, and you can conjugate thousands of regular verbs!
📖 How Conjugation Works:
Take the infinitive verb → Remove the ending (-ar, -er, or -ir) to find the STEM → Add the appropriate ENDING for each subject pronoun

Pattern Recognition Trick:
Notice that -ER and -IR verbs have IDENTICAL endings except for nosotros and vosotros! This means you really only need to memorise 2.5 patterns instead of 3.
Not all verbs follow the regular patterns. Some of the most common and important verbs in Spanish are irregular. But don't worry, irregulars follow predictable patterns too! Let's break them down by type:
