The Subjunctive Mood is the soul of sophisticated Spanish. It expresses wishes, doubts, emotions, possibilities, and hypothetical situations. While English has largely lost its subjunctive, Spanish uses it constantly. These four verb tenses unlock the ability to express uncertainty, desire, and the realm of "what if" with elegance and precision.
