Do you teach complete beginners?

Absolutely. A significant number of adult students start from zero. Lessons begin with the basics — pronunciation, essential vocabulary and simple phrases — and build up steadily. No prior Spanish knowledge is needed.

What's the difference between Castilian and Latin American Spanish?

Castilian Spanish is spoken in Spain and has slightly different pronunciation (such as the 'th' sound for c/z), some vocabulary differences, and uses 'vosotros' informally. Latin American Spanish uses 'ustedes' and has its own regional variations. The differences are smaller than people think — learn Castilian and you'll be understood across all Spanish-speaking countries.

How do online lessons work?

Online lessons are held via Zoom, free to use on any computer or phone with no account needed on your side. Materials are shared on screen during the lesson and Google Docs is used for written practice.

Can you help with GCSE/A-Level coursework specifically?

Yes — both AQA and Edexcel specifications are covered. Lessons can include exam preparation, coursework support, speaking practice for oral exams, listening comprehension, written assessments and revision, all kept up to date with current specification requirements.

What's your cancellation policy?

With at least 24 hours' notice a lesson can be rescheduled. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice are generally non-refundable. If Álvaro needs to cancel, you receive a full refund or a free replacement lesson.

Do you offer a free trial or taster lesson?

Yes — a free 15-minute consultation call to discuss your goals, level and what you want from lessons, with no pressure. A paid trial lesson is also an option if you'd prefer that to a chat.
